Story

Segun Adewale

Have you ever wondered what happens to stray animals in a country struggling with poverty?

In the streets of Ibadan, stray animals roam aimlessly, often malnourished and in poor health. Many Nigerians, struggling with their own survival, cannot afford to care for these animals. A young boy named Tunde once found a stray dog near his home. Despite his family’s financial struggles, he tried to care for the dog, sharing his meager meals and providing shelter. However, without proper medical care and nutrition, the dog’s condition worsened, and Tunde’s heart broke when the dog eventually passed away.

Today, the situation for stray animals in Nigeria remains dire. With limited resources and awareness, many animals suffer from neglect, disease, and starvation. Animal shelters and veterinary services are scarce, and those that do exist are often underfunded and overwhelmed.

Imagine a future where stray animals in Nigeria are cared for, loved, and given a second chance at life. A future where animal shelters are well-equipped, and the community is educated about the importance of animal welfare. This campaign aims to fund the construction and operation of animal shelters, provide veterinary services, and launch awareness campaigns on animal welfare across Nigeria.
